Ken: Personally... I still think it's because he used all his power to accomplish that miracle. In other words, we were saved because he gave up his life. He gave everything for us... So it doesn't seem right to undo all his work on our own...
What he thinks about them trying to save him? Even though he would love to grow old with his friends, he would rather leave it alone. Nothing will stop him from making that decision. He took upon this responsibility since the beginning. He knew of the consequences and that didn't stop him. Why would you want to take this away from him?

Yukari and Junpei must be pretty lucky to survive through that train ride back at that one full moon. This probably shows that a lot of things play on luck, even Minato pretty much told them that he guessed in the beginning. Also... he is not familiar with old-fashioned things like trains. Then again, why would a teenager know how to work a train? Moving on, he prefers to use things that make his life more easier! Like monorails.
